Tool for Resource Allocation , Insight , and Graphical Evaluation ( TRIAGE )

چکیده

Resource allocation and staff scheduling has been a long studied topic, and there is a growing amount of research addressing such issues in the healthcare industry. Few studies, however, have focused on a visualization system to assist emergency department (ED) healthcare personnel perform patient assignment. This project provides an initial prototype tool to help medical staff make patient scheduling arrangements and manage human resources like doctors and nurses by visualizing information of resource workload. The paper describes the design process, system implementation, usability analysis, discussion, and future directions for the application interface.
